Dr Kimberley Godwin
I am originally from the Gold Coast, and after completing my Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) at the University of Qld, I worked in a small animal practice for 2 years after graduation. I was lucky enough to travel to the U.K and work in many different practices gaining much experience in small animal medicine and surgery. I ended up living in the U.K. for 5 years and had a fantastic time travelling around Europe on my holiday weeks. Coming back to Australia I decided to settle down in Canberra and have been working for Canberra Veterinary Hospital since 2010. I enjoy the variety of people and pets that I get to see and meet at Canberra Veterinary Hospital. I have a special interest in Canine & Feline Medicine, but also enjoy doing surgery and dental procedures.
I currently work part-time due to having 2 small boys who keep me busy and a small menagerie of animals at home. My pets include 4 alpacas, 2 ducks and 8 chickens. I enjoy living in Canberra because of the diverse seasons, it’s near (ish) to the beach during Summer and I love to ski in Winter. I try to swim a little and I can be found reading in my downtime. Canberra Veterinary Hospital is a wonderful place to work and I count myself very lucky to be able to help and enrich the lives of the pets who come here.
