Amy has a Diploma in Animal Technology and absolutely loves working at Canberra Vet. She loves animals and everything to do with them. Amy is extremely passionate about the wellbeing of all animals. Amy owns an Irish Wolfhound named Thor, a Staffy named Missy, two cats, Nebula and Dolly and a Green Cheek Conure called Luna. Amy loves her furry children very much. In her spare time, aside from tending to her babies, Amy enjoys relaxing with friends, fishing and continuously learning about space, fossils and minerals, which is one of her favourite hobbies. Amy also has an amazing fossil and mineral collection.
Zoe has lived in Canberra most of her life. Zoe was born in Melbourne and moved to Canberra at a young age. She has grown up with many different animals. Zoe owns a German Short Haired Pointer, Valentine, who stole her heart the day she met her. Zoe’s parents also own a GSP, Holly. Zoe has grown up with holly for the last 8 years. Zoe has completed her certificate II in animal studies at CIT and hopes to further her career in vet nursing in the future.
Shalyn joined our team in July 2017 and is an avid animal addict. She has completed her Certificate 3 in Captive Care through Taronga Western Plains in 2016 and has gained an abundance of knowledge whilst working with the zoo keepers there.
Shalyn has a keen interest in horses and dogs in particular, having completed her studies in equine massage therapy and equi-tape. Shalyn is also interested in wildlife and environmental conservation, animal behaviour and animal enrichment.
Shalyn hopes to continue her studies and build a career focused on providing the best care and advice to animals and their owners.
Evelyn feels it’s a privilege to work at CVH given she is an animal lover and looks forward to meeting all the regular patients and their owners. Evelyn lives with her two dogs named Moshi and Juddy both 5.5 years old and loves taking her dogs out and about for walks in the Canberra surrounds and playing ball on the ovals.
In her spare time Ev is always working in her garden, with a real passion for cacti and succulents, in 2016 she won first prize in a gardening competition for the small garden category. Evelyn enjoys going out for coffee and food at local cafes with friends, going to op shops and antique stores to find old treasures and nursery’s looking for succulents to add to her collection. Evelyn also loves spending time with her family and now has a beautiful grand daughter.
